Addressing Iraq: Mail-Art About the War

Express what you're thinking/feeling/doing about the war in Iraq through your photography.

The Reitz Gallery at the University of Florida is compiling the show "Addressing Iraq: Mail-Art About The War." Send in your war-response postcards, photos, placards, flyers, color-copies, DVD format videos, posters, home-made T-shirts or other mail-able artworks for exhibition.

"The exhibit is open to anyone in the world," says Barbara Jo Revelle, creative photography professor and exhibit organizer. "All schools, all continents, all politics, all people, all media and all positions on the war." 

Deadline is April 12, 2007.

All works submitted will be exhibited April 16-27th with a reception April 27th, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A $5 entry fee per artwork is the suggested minimum, and will be donated to one of two organizations: “Doctors Without Borders” or “A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition” (Act Now to Stop WAR and End Racism). Include entry fee in the form of check made out to one or both of these two organizations. Enclose check(s) in the envelope/package with your artwork(s).
